Educational Support Projects

We at Global Buhmwoo are currently operating various educational support projects through our Buhm Myung Scholarship committee foundation(Chairman Myung-Won Kim).

Through the contributions from both Buhmwoo’s donation fund as well as our C.E.O Myung-Won Kim’s own private expenses, the Buhm Myung scholarship committee was first established in 1990; supporting students in farming and rural areas with poor studying environments through our scholarship funds as well as supporting construction of infrastructure in those areas. We are also supporting academic activities and research in various distinguished universities such as Pohang Science and Technology University, Hanyang University, Northeastern University(China), etc.

One Company-One Rural Community Campaign

During the 1990s, when the One Company-One Rural Community Campaign was not well known, Global Buhmwoo had established a sisterhood between Surimdae Village in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do and Sado Village in Yeosu-city, Jeollanam-do, and took part in the construction of various convenient facilities, establishing direct transaction of agricultural products, labor support during farming seasons, maintenance work on village facilities, and supporting various events. Through such activities, we seek to be a company that grows together with our regional communities.

Cultural Support Projects

We at Global Buhmwoo contribute towards the development of cultural arts and economic vitalization in regional communities. Also, to further our board and staff members’ cultural awareness, we sponsor various cultural festivals held by regional communities.

Environment Purification Activities in Regional Communities

Green Clean, Love & Life! We at Global Buhmwoo take part in cleaning up the environment in regional communities, 3 times a year.

All board and staff members go to regional communities near their respective offices, to help clean up environmentally polluting materials neglected near rivers or roads. Through our efforts we hope to become a loving company, always working to help make a clean and safe environment.

‘Socially Disadvantaged Class’ Support Activities

Through our consist practice of our ‘socially disadvantaged class’ support projects, we at Global Buhmwoo are taking the lead into the realization of social unification.

- Taking part in the Unification sharing fund.
- Sponsoring the Walking Exercise event for the Disabled North & South Koreans
- Sponsoring the World Correction & Aftercare Association

Creative Support Activities

We at Global Buhmwoo support our nation’s first ever green designer, Honorary Professor Ho-Sub Yoon from Jo Hyung University, and his ‘Green Design’ creative activities of preserving and restoring the environment.
